Product specifications: Test kit for analyzing chlorine / bromine levels and pH in water. Suitable for all types of pools and bathtubs. Properly balanced pH levels improve the dissolution and effectiveness of chemical products. Chlorine / bromine level analysis indicates the need for the appropriate treatment chemicals and optimizes the disinfection process. It is recommended to test the water at least once a week.
Contents:
- Oto reagent bottle (orthotolidine) – for measuring residual chlorine (Cl) or bromine (Br)
- Phenol red reagent bottle – for measuring the pH (hydrogen potential) level of the water
- Transparent dual-compartment measuring scale
- Storage case
Instructions for Use:
- Shake reagent bottles before use.
- Using the transparent scale, collect water from a depth of about 30 cm on the opposite side of the jets.
- Pour out a small amount of water to prevent overflow when adding reagents.
- Add 5 drops of Oto into the yellow compartment and 5 drops of Phenol Red into the red compartment.
- Insert both caps and shake the tester until the color becomes uniform.
- Compare the resulting color with the corresponding scale to determine residual chlorine or bromine levels (depending on the disinfectant used) and pH.
Note: Based on the current values, determine the required dosage of treatment chemicals. The ideal residual chlorine level is 0.2–0.6 mg/L, and the ideal pH level is 7.2–7.6. To lower pH, use a pH minus regulator; to increase it, use a pH plus regulator.
Warning:
Keep out of reach of children. Harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and drink plenty of water.
Composition:
- Oto – Orthotolidine (0.095%), turns yellow depending on residual chlorine or bromine level
- Phenol Red – Hydrochloric acid (3.7%), turns red depending on pH level
Shelf life of consumables: Minimum three years from the date of production.
